Term 2 reflection

Today I will be reflecting on how my week went.

What went will this week?

On Tuesday I had Japanese and we were playing some games based on what we have learnt the past two terms.The good part about this was that I won a round and I was so happy but then I had to go to student reception.

Something that challenged me this week?

On Wednesday I had maths. I went in at Titan but it was too hard so I went on to Legend because that’s what I usually do. But, soon I did it.

What was something that I was able to control?

Well in maths I was able to control my level because some was too hard but some was just right because it wasn’t to0 hard and it wasn’t too easy.

One thing I learnt this week?

The one that I learnt was that one of the Maori warriors got shot by one of the Europeans, in Social Studies.

What is my goal for next week?

To finish my work in textiles ( we are creating a bag to hold pens or for a Chromebook )

Term 2

This term every week on Fridays we have to post a blog on how our week when.

On Wednesday during Wananga  we were drawing with filet only on pieces of paper to make a house thing. It went really well because I got to do most of the clouds and I did five so i was happy ( they were really big that’s why I did five )

On Wednesday during literacy we were doing this planing template that got me really confused, we could  chose our own topic and then start writing, for me i got really confused on the second bit so I skipped it then I got a move on. Soon later I got confused and then got very confused but I soon got through.

In numeracy I was doing Pro but I got through it pretty quickly so I tried doing my goal by going on titian But it was to hard so I went down to legend soon I got confused and ask for help soon later I got a move on.

I learned that rainbows can be created when light interacts with a water droplet.

My goal for next week is that I will try my best to do titian in maths.

Music For This Term

Today I will be reflecting on music for this term.

What did I enjoy?

I mostly enjoyed the time when we had to learn about a social media platform that is about music and we had to go into the guitar room to do it was a team and write all of the information for google into a google doc with writing in our own words. The most fun and creepy part about this was when Bettina turned off the lights by accident and she turned it back on, then I looked up and there was an attic with no door on it so it was wide open then Mr Rea came in and scared me so badly.

What did I mostly not enjoy?

I did not really enjoy when we had to do class craft and complete the challenges and most of them was going on the keyboards and  I was not really into it because I was not enjoying the loud noises that they were making and fingers were hurting. ( my hands are not really made for keyboards )

 

What did we do in Music?

Here is all I can remember on  what we did 🙂

  • We were introduced to class craft.
  • We were introduced to his site.( Mr Rea’s )
  • We played class craft
  • We played games from his site.
  • We made a poster about a singer.
  • We did more class craft.
  • We did the learn about the music site off of google.

That’s all I remember 🙂

Today we were finishing off our comic trips for our learning.I did enjoy it but there were some hard parts to it.

Heath

9/4/24

In heath we have  been learning friendships and bullying.

I have been learning cyber-bullying   is very harmful to people on social media platform, I went on to a goggle doc and what is a positive response to say online and what is a negative response to say online. 8 ways +-

 

I have also learned about Aggresive, passive aggressive, Passive and Assertive, We went onto a jamboard and and had our on page to create a response on what we would say if someone was asking us a favour.

I was also learning work as a team and communicate to each other. to do this we had to go out side and to different peoples hand and the try to detangle out of the not ( we had to have more than 3 people to play this game )

2: Hey! stop teasing this student its not kind! Well he bran homemade lunch instead of buying from the cafeteria! So! just because he bran homemade lunch doesn’t mean you have the right to bully him! I mean you never know he might be allergic to the food they serve! oh.

Boats

For social studies we have been creating a boat.

Steps:

The first step we started to learn about the past was what the did to learn the currents of the waves, stars, sun and moon, clouds, wind directions, birds.

So we started with finding information like this:

Stars, Sun and Moon:

They used the southern cross by drawing a line from a start to another and extended it to 4.5 times.

A star path is a series of stars that either rise or set at the same point on the horizon.

The sun indicated East and west

 

The ocean:

Navigators use the oceans  ocean swell patterns to guide them in the correct duration even the cant see them. 

They can feel the motion in the swells underneath

Clouds:

The clouds indicated 

Landmasses and some clouds can show a reflection 

  Of a island.

Navigators can see this type of movement as they scan the horizon

Wind directions:

For a successful sailing voyage the navigators  need very good knowledge of wind patterns and ocean current.

Very strong currents can be a friend or a foe, helping to carry you where you want to go or rapidly carrying you off course

Birds:

Some land-based birds fly out to sea to fish in the morning, and return at dusk. Seeing them at these times tells navigators where land is.

Birds can easily lead navigators to an island because they could be flying around for a place to land so they can 

 

Then we planed

We included Popsicle  sticks, hot glue gun, paper , pencil, flax, round sticks.

me and they’ll have done experience before it was really fun also when we we keep losing the glue a lot and we keep so then we keep running out and we used a lot of good and then that’s the problem parts let me take care because we had more.

Catch it Writing

For the past few weeks we have been writing a recount of a group of merecats running after a yummy pomegranate.

The inserting the thing into a peer buddy template and set it as a draft. Next we gave feed back on your buddy’s eight paragraphs. Then we took our buddy’s feed back to use to create a final draft to post on you blog.

Here is my final draft:

It was a dimly lit barrow day in the Savannah Oasis ( the sun was  scorching hot ). When I emerged from my slumber I struggled to keep my eyes open ; while I stretched and yawned. I tumble down my brothers and sisters sleeping pile. I then made my way outside to check for predators.

 

I soon spotted a remarkable pomegranate sitting there in loneliness. Me, my brothers and sisters all got a turn to see the glory that it may give us and we got to touch it… Soon we all raced to our barrow because we heard the sound of predators.

 

We were all in shock! There was a curl vulture really to do some mischief, misconduct and misbehaving  stuff. For a few minutes it was glancing at us wondering what we were doing. When we all stared at the pomegranate as fast as we can but the 

Vulture was able to see and then he got it! He fingered out and knew that we were hoping that he wouldn’t steal the fruit! Then he snatched the fruit and started to fly away! 

 

The next thing we did was chase him down! I hung onto the 

vultures legs and held on tight then BUMP! I fell off, ran back again and jumped onto the vulture’s legs again! This time I held

on even tighter. I looked at the fruit the vulture was holding on to. I hugged the fruit happily then my siblings came on and held onto my feet then my other siblings held on as tight as they could. Next we got filled into the air

 

We started to fall at lightning speed! Then we looked up and the vulture was very frustrated! So we all started to pass the pomegranate around so the vulture had no chance to grab it. Soon we were rolling in the air because he went diving as fast as he could! Soon he caught the fruit.

 

Then the vulture looked back and giggled and then Boom! He crashed into the rocky cliff. We all stood in silence while the vulture died. Then all of our eyes went to the flying pomegranate, It was like a flying saucer.

 

Soon we caught it and then started to run in slow mo like we won a firing victory, but we were just dreaming.  Me and my brother sisters were all telling him to kick it like one million times. Soon we continued to celebrate our victory until… 

 

My brother finally kicked the shiny fruit in the air. It was like the king of the burning Savannah. It flies through the flaming hot air at high speed. We were playing a game of rugby tag! The fruit went through two trees that were shaped like a rugby post and then a goal! Then we all heard the sound of disappointment because it went Splat!  Then End 😀👍

Music this term

We are making this blog post for what is are favourite things in music

My most favourite things in music is when we made a poster about a singer. I liked this because we got to make a mess and create it on paper. I learnt that Olivia Redrego  is a pop artist. I tried to  learn the drums but it was hard. But I did’nt like that the teacher keeped  making us learning the piano.

Hi the most best bloggers, Today we are seeing what ball would drop the fastest.

Hypothesis

I think that the ping Pong ball will bounce higher than the marble because it is lighter and it’s not as hard.

Background

The ping pong ball is 2.7 grams ( 0.095 ) ( I could not put in link because the thing did not  allow me ) video from youtube ( the video reach was not working )

The marble is 3 grams ( Glass is a perfectly elastic materialvideo from youtube

Equipment

  • Ruler, blue tack, marble, ping pong ball, Chromebook.

Steps

  • get a marble and a pin Pon ball
  • get ruler
  • set up Chromebook on camera video ( try to get slow mo )
  • get really to do it one time ( we did a couple more because we had some extra time so we wanted to see if the marble will bounce a little higher than before )

 

Results

Drops ping pong ball marble

( We did this in slow mo, but is does not allow us to insert it. )

Conclusion

The ping pong ball bounces the highest because it is nice and light. but the marble was too very heavy though ( I was surprised that the glass is perfectly elastic even though is heavy )

 

 

 

Anti-bullying

Hi my lovely bloggers, in heath we have been focusing on friendships. This week we at bullying/ anti-bullying. This is a awareness poster I made about bullying.

First we had to go on a jamboard to write down what bullying looks, what is feels like and what it sounds like.

Second we had to make a poster about bullying and what you can do to someone, who can you ask for help,and that it never ok to bully people.
